Return Policy
At Mello, we believe you should love what you wear. That's why we offer a 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee on every order.
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return. While clips can be gently used, they must be returned in brand new condition with all original components included to be eligible for a refund.
Note: We offer a refund of the full purchase amount, minus the cost of return shipping. For US orders, the label cost is automatically deducted from your refund when you initiate through our return portal. For international orders, you are responsible for arranging and paying for your own return shipping - we are unable to provide or generate prepaid labels outside the United States.
Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return:
- Your item must be in brand new condition - lightly used is okay, but it must be clean and undamaged
- All original components must be included:
- The Mello clip(s)
- Original packaging
- Stickers
- Free gifts
- Thank you card
- A receipt or proof of purchase is required
Important Notice
Once a shipping label has been created, your order is considered processed and can no longer be canceled. If you change your mind after it has shipped, you'll need to wait until delivery and then request a return.
How to Start a Return
US customers: Visit our return portal to initiate your return. A prepaid label will be generated and its cost automatically deducted from your refund.
International customers (outside the US): Please email us at help@wearmello.com to start your return. You will need to arrange and pay for your own return shipping. Once we receive your item and confirm it meets our return eligibility requirements, we will process your refund to your original payment method.
We are unable to reimburse the cost of international return shipping.
Damages & Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us right away if:
- The item is defective or damaged
- You received the wrong item
We'll do everything we can to make it right. For defective or incorrect items, return shipping costs are covered by Mello regardless of your location - please email us at help@wearmello.com and we will provide next steps.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns on:
- Personal care items (e.g. beauty products)
- Sale items or gift cards

Exchanges
We offer exchanges on select items. To see if your item is eligible, visit our return portal. If your item is not eligible through the portal, simply return your item and place a new order.
Please note: Exchange replacements are fulfilled from our warehouse and shipped directly to you - not from our returns facility.
European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If your order was delivered to the EU, you are entitled to cancel or return it within 14 days for any reason.
To qualify:
- The item must be unused, with tags and original packaging intact
- You must provide proof of purchase
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- We'll notify you of the refund status
- If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days
- For US returns, the cost of the return shipping label will be deducted from your refund
- For international returns, no deduction is made - the item is shipped back at the customer's own expense
Please note: Your bank or card provider may take additional time to process the refund.
